BIPS has a “No Tolerance “attitude towards ragging and abides by the Raghavan Commission. According to Supreme Court of India, it is a criminal offence and at our institute it is treated like that too. Complain with the definition of ragging, the following activities will be treated as an act of Ragging:

  • Abetment to ragging
  • Criminal conspiracy of ragging
  • Violation of decency during ragging
  • Unlawful assembly while ragging
  • Injury to body – causing hurt.
  • Wrongful confinement
  • Wrongful restraint
  • Use of outsiders- criminal force
  • Criminal intimidation
  • Assault as well as sexual offence
  • Extortion
  • Physical or physiological humiliation
  • Any act that prevents disturbs the regular academic of students.
  • All other offences following from the definition of ragging
